About Madison Ave Smiles

Dr. MalikCosmetic Dentistry can be very different than it used to be, for dentists like Dr. Malik who have made state-of-the-art cosmetic dentistry a priority, incredible cosmetic improvements can easily be made.  He has spent years developing and teaching the art of creating cosmetic changes that are so natural looking, even a dentist would have a very difficult time telling.

In many cases, time-consuming orthodontics can now be avoided.  "Instant Orthodontics" means that we can now straighten teeth, close gaps and give you a natural, beautiful smile almost immediately.

Are you tired of those old porcelain crowns that have a "false" look?  Or maybe they have a dark edge at the gum line.  Just ask Dr. Malik about his lifelike, all ceramic crowns and veneers that are virtually undistinguishable from natural teeth.

How would you like state-of-the-art laser dentistry without drills or needles? What would you say if you could have your fillings placed painlessly without drills or needles, with laser precision and comfort?  You’d probably say, "Where do I sign up?"  Well, now you can with a revolutionary new laser we call The Water Laser.  You may have seen Dr. Malik interviewed in the newspaper about it recently.

Unlike lasers of the past, this laser is used for both gum and teeth procedures.  Previously, dental lasers were used only for the gums or other soft tissues.

This new "Water Laser" is a breakthrough in comfortable dentistry.  Energy from the laser is absorbed by water instead of by the teeth.  The microscopic water droplets are energized by the laser and it is actually the energized water that removes tooth decay – and usually with no needles and no pain.

Dr. Malik lectures to dentists frequently about this new technology and is proud to be one of the first dentists in New York City to provide this revolutionary technology.

And there’s even more good news.  Our Water Laser can prevent the need for future crowns and even root canals.  Cracking of teeth and cavities under old fillings are two of the most common reasons that root canals and crowns are needed.  The dentist’s drill may create tiny cracks that may get bigger over the years, causing the need for root canals and crowns.  But our Water Laser is so gentle that it causes no cracks whatsoever.  And the Water Laser actually sterilizes the tooth as it removes the tooth decay.  Therefore, less chance of needing root canals and crowns in the future.  Oh, and by the way, the Water Laser even strengthens the tooth decay.  Unbelievable?  You bet it is!

This incredible new laser can even get rid of embarrassing cold sores and painful canker sores.

If you’ve been putting off going to the dentist because you were nervous about the drill and needle, you don’t have to put it off any longer.  We are proud to be among the first to provide this comfortable new laser technology for our patients.
